SIA welcomed Western Towboat VP Russell Shrewsbury to its Board of Directors. For more than 75 years, Western Towboat has been a cornerstone of Seattle's maritime industry, providing tugboat services, vessel construction, and marine transportation from its headquarters along the Lake Washington Ship Canal in Ballard.

SIA partnered with American Waterway Operators and Lynden to convene the Duwamish Safe Navigation Coalition, bringing together maritime operators, manufacturers, and industry associations to address growing navigation and safety concerns.
